For midsize companies

Several brands, locations and teams. One marketing plan.

A midsize company has outgrown the one-person marketing department but still needs every dollar to answer for itself. CESSON works alongside your in-house people as senior strategy and extra capacity. Our longest-standing client, Baillie Lumber Group, is one of North America’s largest hardwood lumber manufacturers and has worked with CESSON since 2010.

How CESSON works at your scale

Alongside your team, not instead of it.

Your director or manager stays in charge of the brand. CESSON brings senior strategy, an outside view and the hands your team is short of, and trains your people to run what they can run.

  • ✓
We work with your marketing people
Your director or manager stays in charge of the brand. CESSON brings senior strategy, an outside view and the hands your team is short of. We agree who does what and who approves what in the first month, in writing.
  • ✓
Many brands and locations, one system
For Baillie that meant 14 brand websites on one consistently managed platform. For A. Perry Homes it meant service pages ranking in two states. The structure is built to take the next brand or the next market.
  • ✓
Training, so you are not dependent on us
We train your team to run what they can run. Baillie’s marketing team now manages its own updates, content changes and SEO implementations, with CESSON’s guidance.
  • ✓
    A straight answer on AI
Your board is asking about AI. CESSON has put it to work for clients since ten weeks after ChatGPT launched, and tells you plainly what is real, what is premature and what to do this quarter.
  • ✓
Reporting your leadership team can use
One page a month in plain words: what was spent, what it produced, and what we would change. The detailed data is there for your marketing team whenever they want it.
  • ✓
Your projects, in your pocket, 24/7
Your own login on day one, and seats for your marketing team. Every project has its own board: what’s done, what’s next, who’s on it. Reply in the thread and the right person gets it.
  • ✓
Flat fee, and your accounts stay yours
One monthly fee set in the proposal, media bought at cost, no percentage of ad spend, and every account and login in your name, held in an encrypted password manager while we work.

Questions we hear

Before you book

How does CESSON work with our marketing team?

Alongside it. Your team keeps the brand and the day-to-day; CESSON adds senior strategy, specialist work and capacity, and trains your people to run what they can.

Can you handle several brands or locations?

Yes. CESSON has built and maintained 14 brand websites for one group, and ranks service pages for clients in more than one state.

Can you work with the agencies and vendors we already have?

Yes. We will tell you where the overlap is and where the gaps are, and we are comfortable owning one part of the picture while someone else owns another.

How long do clients stay?

CESSON clients stay seven years on average. Baillie Lumber Group has been a client since 2010.

Who do we deal with?

A named member of the CESSON team runs your account day to day and works with your marketing people every week. Philippe Cesson sets the strategy, reviews and directs all the work, and answers for the result.

Why six months to start?

Because onboarding is a real investment and we charge no setup fee for it. At 90 days we sit down with the plan from month one. If we haven’t done the work we said we would, you can leave on 30 days’ notice.

What does it cost?

Engagements start at $3,500 a month, and most at this scale run between $4,000 and $6,000. Several brands or markets with paid media throughout invest more. You get one flat number in a proposal after the first call, and the terms are on the pricing page.
